Bluewater
Bluewater, Kent.
Sunday lunch, just opened, not busy.
Half the beer on the menu not available, half the starters not available, I’m talking “Olives” not too taxing.
Pasta dish dry, salad dry, both tasteless.
Service poor, I even had to go on a search for Parmesan cheese as it wasn’t offered with my main.
In hindsight I should of sent it back, email sent to HQ to complain but no response.
I’ve been a regular visitor to different branches for years but the “Bluewater” restaurant is extremely poor.

Will no be around much longer
We used to frequent the restaurant in Walton on Thames on a regular basis being our first choice in the neighbourhood for simple food cooked well. The vegetarian antipasta for two was our usual starter. This was not on the menu anymore so had to plead for them to remove the meat from the mixed version. I asked for a generous helping of caperberries. When it arrived there it was mostly green beans, one artichoke portion, two slices of courgette, four olives and a crispy poppadum type bread - no caperberries, no focaccia like there used to be. Called the waitress back and she said there were no caperberries. So why didn't she say that when she brought the meal to the table or come back before then to tell us and ask if we still wanted that option? She brought the manager over and she re-iterated that there were no caperberries and refused to get any from the jars of them in the retail section. At least she got one more artichoke, 2 more bits of courgette and few olives.

The salad mains were pretty atrocious too. The lettuce was browning at the stalks and the feta cheese salad was mostly barley. I asked for a rare tuna steak but when it came it was so thin there was no chance of it being cooked rare. Again the waitress should have said something when I ordered that it wasn't actually a steak - more like a thick slice of ham.

To cap it all the waiters were playing softball amongst the few customers and even had to retrieve the ball from under my seat. Absolutely no respect. The last time I saw this kind of behaviour was when I saw Safeways staff playing football in the aisles with a tin of beans. They closed down a few months later.

A real let down, never to be repeated
We have enjoyed eating at Carluccio’s for years and recently had a marvellous meal at the Stratford upon Avon restaurant. So, a couple of weeks later, in Leamington Spa, we decided to repeat the experience and have the same starter and main course.
My 3 arancini balls were half the size of the previous meal, and for the price, an absolute disgrace. But it was the sea bass that was the real let down. This was a sorry tiny looking piece of fish that looked as though it had been put in oil that was not hot enough. In comparison with our previous meal, the tomato salsa was tasteless and the fennel was large chunks rather than finely sliced. All together not a very refined meal is how I would best describe it, the sort of meal you get at some greasy cafe. Clearly, the chef that cooked this was not at the same level and this meal should not have gone out. We were asked by the waitress if everything was okay and we gave our honest feedback and why, and we got the feeling she already knew it was an awful meal she had delivered. We very rarely complain in restaurants and prefer to vote with our feet and not go back. Without asking, the main course was deducted from the bill, which we appreciated. Unfortunately though, we feel the chain has gone downhill recently, and will not be retuning for fear of a repeat of this experience.

Carluccios Wimbledon Village
I visited Carluccio's in Wimbledon Village for breakfast a couple of months ago. The food was good, the service was great - Luke (if i remember the name well) was very attentive and stopped for a little chat, which was very pleasant. Enjoyed the whole experience very much, so thank you to the team in Wimbledon Village for making this a lovely experience for us (it was in fact my other half's b.day :) ) !!

Over £60 wasted on poor quality and service
Had lunch at Carluccios Richmond Saturday 9 April
Poor service and quality.
Main came while we were just starting the starters.
We didn’t get the Amoretto we ordered but we’re charged for it although to be fair it was credited when we pointed this out. Food luke warm. Service sloppy.
After spending over £60 vowed never to use Carluccios again

I have always loved Carluccio's but now.....
I have always loved Carluccio's and have been going for years...I have one very local to me....The only point I would like to make here is that instead of PROGRESSING as most other restaurants are doing, they appear to be REGRESSING; I am a vegan and their vegan croissants have actually been taken OFF the menue, and their delicious Caponata, which I've had many times and was vegan, now has had goat's cheese ADDED!! This is going against what is happening just about EVERYWHERE ELSE! They, and their staff, seem to be oblivious to this massive global movement... do they not watch the ad's on tv? PLEASE don't continue to disappoint those of us who love you but can no longer come...

Terrible
I have been to Carluccios in Colchester many tiMes and have always had a good meal so weeks ago I booked at table for lunch on Boxing Day. Today I received a phone call to say they have decided to close for the day - great!!!! Less than a week to go and I now have to search for an alternative. The person who called said “I guarantee you will get somewhere else”. Bloomin cheek, they can’t even guarantee to honour their own bookings let guarantee it somewhere else. What a terrible way to treat their clients!

Food and service very good
Food and service very good at Bluewater.
The reason I haven't given 5 stars is:
Tables too close to other diners. Staff not wearing masks. Table on top of busy walkway.
Won't be dining here again unless table spaced.

Insensitive Customer Service
On Thursday the 25th I placed a substantial order on the Carluccio website as the website said it could take five days to process orders and these were to be Christmas gifts. No mention was made on their website of any pending Black Friday Sale, which most sites do. Today Friday they announce the sale. I contacted them making these points and asked that in the interest of good customer relations would they apply the discount. I received nothing but curt unapologic replies. This is order #109240. Now I see that they made a point of shipping my order before the beginning of their Black Friday 20 percent discount so that I would not be able to cancel the order and reorder with the discount. Astonishingly petty for a large organisation. Beware, and protect yourself if you choose to deal with them.

Carluccio's : Just the ticket for Beverley!.
Carluccio's in Beverley.
I have been a supporter of Carluccio's for many years. It was pleasing to see that despite closures elsewhere, the Beverley branch stayed open. This is down to the excellent service given by staff and their manager who takes an interest in every customer who walks through the door. Carluccio's has become the ideal meeting place where you can enjoy good food and drink whilst having the space to talk to friends. My wife and I have never had a single negative experience here. We look forward to their staging Operatic and other musical evenings as we get to grips with Covid. Many thanks to all the staff.

We had lunch at Carluccio's in…Stratford upon Avon
We had lunch at Carluccio's in Stratford-upon-Avon on 28 August. The staff were fantastic, despite being busy they were friendly and efficient. Great sense of humour too. The food was amazing. It was our second visit to that branch and we are looking forward to the next.

Rude staff- Beverley restaurant
Was unable to find any information about times for breakfast or brunch on the website.
Arrived at 11.30 and by the time a member of staff came across to see us it was 11.35, we were told “breakfast had finished 5 minutes earlier and there was zero movement on that”. The member of staff was very rude as nobody had asked for any movement on the breakfast we just asked if it had finished and he has worked for Carluccio’s for a long time so it took me by surprise how rude he was.
We just left and will never return as food is very average and now apparently is the customer service. Much nicer places in Beverley to eat with much more welcoming staff.

Portsmouth Restaurant - Excellent
Had lunch today at Portsmouth. All the staff we had dealings with were friendly and efficient, Raphael in particular was very welcoming and attentive. Food was hot and delicious and service was quick without being rushed. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely visit again next time we are down in Portsmouth.
